South Korea produces more than 70 million tons of high-quality iron annually and is the world's fifth-largest steel producer.  However, unlike in the past when steel production level was competitive edge, we are now in an era in which eco-friendly and high-quality products are a must throughout the industry. Currently, the steel industry is in a strict situation where the social responsibility to make carbon emissions zero is paramount, with major Western countries demanding eco-friendly products to achieve carbon neutrality and to fight climate change. In addition, due to oversupply of steel products and a decrease in demand, the era of supply increase and decrease according to market conditions has passed and coexistence with customers is essential.
